Please Note: Internships are UNPAID and structured to last approximately 12 weeks. Course Credit is available.

Resume and Cover Letter are required. Students should have a strong academic record (3.0 strongly preferred) and good character. Students must have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship. In addition, students may not have graduated college or graduate school prior to the start of the internship (i.e. students must still be enrolled in school during the time of the internship). Students seeking college credit are strongly encouraged to apply.

Note to International Students: All international students will be required to provide documentation of proper visa paperwork prior to your arrival if accepted to the program. Only J1 or F1 visas will be accepted.

Deadline to apply for Spring Internships is December 11, 2009. Due to the high volume of candidates for Turner’s Internship Program, interested students are encouraged to apply for openings as soon as possible, as these positions will be filled on an ongoing basis. Future semester Internship postings will be available after the current semester deadline.

Department Description – The Cartoon Network MMOG (Massively-Multiplayer Online Game) FusionFall launched on January 14, 2009. FusionFall features many of Cartoon Network’s most popular properties—including Dexter’s Laboratory, Ed, Edd n Eddy, The Powerpuff Girls, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends, and Ben 10, just to name few—in one huge world for players to explore.

Qualifications: Graphic Design Major with portfolio. Good communication skills are a must. Understanding and knowledge of Cartoon Network shows and brands are key, with a general enthusiasm for kids/animated programming. Additionally, candidates should be avid gamers with at least some knowledge of online and massively-multiplayer games. Basic computer skills (PC, Mac) are essential; advanced program knowledge (Photoshop, HTML. Access, Etc.) a plus. A keen desire to learn and sense of humor are the main prerequisites.

Duties: The intern will have an opportunity to observe and assist with providing production support across all major disciplines: art, game design, writing, community work, website creation, customer service, marketing, and technology. This position will provide the intern a broad understanding of large-scale game production at a major entertainment corporation. Sample duties include asset collection, coordination of materials between Atlanta and Seoul, support with marketing initiative, game testing and general administrative and production assistance.
