Please Note: Internships are UNPAID and structured to last approximately 12 weeks. Course Credit is available.

Resume and Cover Letter are required. Students should have a strong academic record (3.0 strongly preferred) and good character. Students must have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship. In addition, students may not have graduated college or graduate school prior to the start of the internship (i.e. students must still be enrolled in school during the time of the internship). Students seeking college credit are strongly encouraged to apply.

Note to International Students: All international students will be required to provide documentation of proper visa paperwork prior to your arrival if accepted to the program. Only J1 or F1 visas will be accepted.

Deadline to apply for Spring Internships is December 11, 2009. Due to the high volume of candidates for Turner’s Internship Program, interested students are encouraged to apply for openings as soon as possible, as these positions will be filled on an ongoing basis. Future semester Internship postings will be available after the current semester deadline.

Department Description: Trade Creative Services develops concepts and creates Graphic Designs and Character Art for Cartoon Network support material. TCS designers create materials for the CN Marketing Department, Ad & Cable Sales, PR, and CN Studios. These materials encompass a wide variety of items including but not limited to print advertising, billboards, press kits, show launch materials, up front sales materials, premiums, DVD packaging, T-shirts, posters, calendars, paper systems, logos, business cards, signage, character art guides and 3D environments

Required Qualifications/Skills: We are looking for students with strong design skills and a thorough knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Knowledge of Adobe Flash is a plus. Applicants must be reliable, self motivated and be able to work in a team environment. A love of cartoons is a must.

Duties: Interns will gain learning experience as well as insights on how the creative process works at a major entertainment company. You will work with super talented designers and be able to participate in group brain storming session. Days and hours are flexible.
