Please Note: Internships are UNPAID and structured to last approximately 12 weeks. Program dates are 02/01/2010 – 04/23/2010. Course Credit is available. Resume and Cover Letter are required. Students should have a strong academic record (3.0 strongly preferred) and good character. Students must have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship. In addition, students may not have graduated college or graduate school prior to the start of the internship (i.e. STUDENTS MUST BE ENROLLED IN SCHOOL DURING THE TIME OF THIS INTERNSHIP). Students seeking college credit are strongly encouraged to apply. Note to International Students: All international students will be required to provide documentation of proper visa paperwork prior to your arrival if accepted to the program. Only J1 or F1 visas will be accepted. Deadline to apply for Spring Internships is December 11th 2009. Due to the high volume of candidates for Turner’s Internship Program, interested students are encouraged to apply for openings as soon as possible, as these positions will be filled on an ongoing basis. Future semester Internship postings will be available after the current semester deadline.

Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Professional phone manner
• A GREAT attitude
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows and Excel preferred)
• Strong organization skills
• Able to manage many projects at one time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Internship description:
Students may have the opportunity to observe and learn about a number of functions, which may include:
• Learn to create award advertisements that highlight the networks achievements
• Learn to produce signage to inform employees of internal and external marketing campaigns
• Coordinating print production of branded premiums
• Assisting with the production of press kits (on-line and mailers)
• Attend department, research and media planning meetings
• Support production of items needed for on-the-ground marketing
• Learn to create HTML emails to promote specific CNN events
• Becoming familiar with and selecting photography that may be relevant for a specific campaign

Other opportunities may include:
• Learn to organizing files, premiums etc.
• Learn to coordinate shipments
