Business Effectiveness professionals help clients streamline and combine people, processes, technology, and controls to improve operating effectiveness, lower costs, reduce redundancy, and lower risks. The team focuses on physical operations and supply chain management improvements including manufacturing, distribution, logistics, procurement, sourcing, and inventory management
Responsibilities: • Participate in business development activities for supply chain engagements primarily focused in the Energy, Oil and Gas industries • Support practice leaders in the identification of prospective client opportunities, and follow-up on pursuit work including proposal development, sales presentations etc. • Grow the practice through referrals of qualified candidates • Contribute to the development of supply chain knowledge base through white papers, articles, and other collateral
Qualifications: • BS degree in Business (or equivalent) from an accredited college/university • Six to Eight years of supply chain operations experience • Knowledge of the Energy, Oil and Gas sector through industry employment or consulting projects • Knowledge of leading practices in at least one of the following capability areas: sourcing and procurement, strategic sourcing, spend analysis, contract management, supply chain management, eProcurement, Purchase-to-Pay, content management, supplier enablement, logistics and fulfillment, transportation management, warehouse management or supplier relationship management • Experience with business case development, package selection, assessments, process design and optimization, testing and quality assurance in one or more of the aforementioned areas • Knowledge of functionality of package applications enabling supply chain processes; Oracle, PeopleSoft etc. • Excellent foundational consulting skills: Analytical, written and verbal communication, client presence, facilitation and presentation etc. • Project management skills (candidate should have held lead positions on projects) • Strong general understanding of business dynamics and operations • Strong proficiency in standard PC applications - MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project • Able to travel at a significant level, as needed
