PURPOSE STATEMENT:

The purpose of this position is to
acquire new large Time Warner
Business Class customers and to
retain and increase revenues from
existing large commercial Time
Warner Business Class customers by
selling new products and services
primarily within an assigned market
segment or account list.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.Target businesses assigned as
listed accounts and/or within an
assigned vertical market to sell
high-end fiber-based Dedicated
Access, Business Class Phone and
other value-added commercial
services.

2.Meet with commercial Time Warner
Business Class prospects to conduct
needs assessments, identify
suitable applications solutions,
develop and present proposals,
including respective timelines for
delivery, and solicit orders.

3.Respond to leads forwarded by
Account Executives and other
sources regarding the purchase of
complex commercial services.
Initiate serviceability checks and
site survey requests where
appropriate.

4.Deliver orders from prospective
customers for approval, including
IRR worksheets and confirmation of
the existence of a current Right of
Entry Agreement. Secure Right of
Entry Agreements from property
owners as needed.

5.Communicate estimated timelines
for installation of service to
customers whose orders for service
have been approved. Act as a
liaison between the customer and
the Business Class department’s
sales engineering, project
management, installation and
technical support personnel and
division and regional engineering
and technical operations personnel
and contractors during the design,
construction, and installation
process.

6.Manage commercial Time Warner
Business Class accounts on an on-
going basis. This includes
frequent service follow-ups,
problem solving, identifying
competitive activities and tracking
emerging needs identification.

7.Maintain a current contact
database of Time Warner Business
Class prospects and customers. Keep
daily records of sales contacts
made, proposals sent, and contracts
received.

8.Communicate daily with the Major
Account Manager. Provide input for
reports outlining sales results and
activities on a daily basis.
Expand the market awareness of
commercial Time Warner Business
Class services through involvement
in trade and commercial
organizations, trade shows, and
other public presentations.

9.Meet monthly and annual budgeted
sales goals.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

May drive or travel throughout the
year. May sit for long periods of
time. May work under stressful
situations when schedules and
priorities conflict. May climb,
stoop, bend, twist body repeatedly.
Typing and reading on a computer.
Primarily works inside throughout
the year, though spends a portion
of time outside as programming and
production requirements indicate.
May work in various weather
conditions which include extreme
hot and cold conditions.
Communicates in person, by
telephone and through written
correspondence. On-call duty is
required.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.Attend meetings, as required,
with Time Warner Business Class
Business technical staff or other
departments to address special
customer or prospect issues or
requirements.

2.Maintain a positive relationship
with all departments.

3.Perform other such duties as may
be requested from time-to-time by
the Major Account Manager and the
Vice President of Commercial
Services & Time Warner Business
Class.

4.Perform other duties as assigned.

HUMAN RELATIONS SKILLS REQUIRED:

This position involves contact with
customers, the general public,
supervisors and management,
contractors, and employees.
Providing prompt, courteous and
complete service to Time Warner
Business Class customers is a key
responsibility.

Creativity, persistence,
organization, and conscientiousness
are required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent
is required.
Bachelors or Associates degree
preferred.
Previous commercial data network
sales experience is required.
Cable or telecommunications
industry experience preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND
ABILITIES:

Excellent organizational,
communication and sales skills.
Knowledge of general office
procedures and familiarity with
computers and email, word
processing, and contact management
software.
Basic knowledge of Internet
Protocol (IP) network applications.
Basic knowledge of wiring design
and terminology.
Working knowledge of general
marketing principles, tools and
processes.
Valid driver's license.
