Job Function:
Ensure the quality, operability and availability of the services we provide to both our external and internal customers. Ensure both scheduled and unscheduled network related outages are resolved as quickly as possible.
Ensure the installation and operational turn-up of the infrastructure required to add new services or change existing services. To stay current with the technologies driving our business and product offering.

REQUIREMENTS:
Works as part of the Network Engineering team to ensure we respond quickly and effectively to unscheduled service outages, restoring services in minimum time, plan and design new services, and plan scheduled maintenance.
Ensure all measures are taken to avoid service outages through proper planning and an effective preventive maintenance plan.
To maintain and support a large Divisional/Regional Metro Network comprised of DWDM transport, routers, switches and firewalls.
Provide leading technical expertise and guidance for network backbone, data access, routing, and other network system problems and questions.
Provide technical expertise to the other Engineering teams (IBS and Head-end) as well as to the other teams throughout the division and region as needed.
Ensure the effective organization and cleanliness of our technical facilities such that they reflect this pride and professionalism of our team.

REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma is required. Associates Degree in Electronics IT or IS; completion of industry IT or IS certification preferred.
Minimum of 3 years network engineering experience to include the management, maintenance, and support of network systems.
Must demonstrate a firm understanding of server and data system administration and maintenance.
Must demonstrate a firm understanding of network concepts for proper administration and maintenance.
Must be well versed in using PC software, MS Office and proprietary equipment software tools.
