Job Description
Represent the company before the FCC, the FTC, the Department of Commerce (NTIA) and other Federal agencies

- Monitor proceedings and other relevant activities, and advise the company of developments at the FCC, FTC, NTIA and other Federal agencies, across all of the company's businesses

- Oversee the participation by the company in FCC and other agency proceedings by assisting in the development of the company's positions and in counsel's preparation of regulatory filings

- Coordinate with the business units to determine the impact of any proposed agency action on the organization

- Participate in strategic planning with the business units to analyze potential regulatory issues, and work to develop solutions to anticipated problems

- Participate in public forums to advance the company's positions and to assist in fostering the company's Washington, D.C. presence

- Coordinate closely with the External Affairs, Federal and State Government Affairs, Public Policy and Communications teams on work product, strategy and development of the company's positions



Required Skills:
BA required; MA in Public Policy or Law Degree preferred

10-12 years of experience in communications policy and/or communications law

Background in cable/media and telecom preferred

Previous experience in providing corporate regulatory guidance preferred

FCC regulatory/agency experience strongly preferred
