Job Description

Within the Technology Risk ("TR") service areaof Deloitte's Audit & Enterprise Risk Services practice, the Financial Instrument Valuation & Securitization (FIV&S) market offering develops and licenses a range of proprietary software products (ABCP Suite™, ABS Suite™, CDO Suite™, LDC Suite™, and Surveillance Suite™) to assist organizations with their administration of AICPA SOP 03-3, securitization transactions, leveraged loans, and other capital markets needs.

We are looking for a Senior Programmer to join our existing CDO Suite development team which is based in Deloitte's Two World Financial Center office in Lower Manhattan.

  • BA/BS degree; Computer Science is preferred
  • CPA or CFA credential is a plus
  • MBA is a plus
  • 5-10 years experience developing complex client/server applications is required
  • Strong knowledge of SQL stored procedures, creating ASP.NET applications and front end user interfaces is required
  • Extensive knowledge of MS SQL server including database features, functions, and syntax is required
  • Strong understanding of complex financial instruments i.e. credit default swaps, leveraged loans, options, etc. is a plus
  • Experience with accounting/general ledger systems and/or leveraged loan portfolio administration systems is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong technical and organization skills
  • Analytical and detail oriented
  • Team oriented

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and implement user requirements/business needs as new and/or enhanced product functionality
  • Code, test and document program code according to application need
  • Indirectly/occasionally supervise other programming resources (note, however, that this is a line position primarily involving programming on a daily basis, not a management position)
  • Assist in packaging and delivery of finished software product to clients
  • Communicate with technical and business leaders on business requirements, system related capabilities, programming progress, and enhancement status
